CHA, QUICKUTZ, CLASSES AND MORE.........

We are back from Chicago and have so much to share.  I will be posting pictures as we receive shipments.....it's a LOT !  We shopped until we dropped.  Denise, Wanda, Elaine and myself had an awesome time in Chicago and truly enjoyed all the new paper lines and tools coming out over the next few months.  We took some GREAT workshops and returned with lots of samples.  Be sure to stop in and check them out.  We have so much coming our way...papers for the holidays, tools for cutting, punching, binding, brad setting, and so much more, jewelry (you are going to love this line from making memories, very vintage), real wood to die cut and craft with, journals, photo albums, stamps........ We listened to what you were asking for and I think we will deliver and make everyone happy with our purchases.

First up...QUICKUTZ has arrived in the store.  We finally have the Special Delivery Gift Sets and the "Spring/Summer" Birds and Bees release.  Be sure to stop in and get your quickly or call the store to reserve as these are "limited edition" sets and won't last for long.

Classes: I've updated the August class schedule.  Sorry for the delay.  I did this in a post before I left for Chicago but forgot to hit "Publish" .  Please notice that from now until November we will be having our Christmas Card classes as well as our Everyday Card Class.  Also be sure to take note of the special buy days...you don't want to miss these.  Remember to wear your "Precious Scraps" t-shirts in on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to receive 10% off your purchase.  We will be adding some kit classes soon for the holidays (a great cookbook class kit) and look forward to seeing you in class.  In September we will be adding two new classes:  "Book Club" (with Pine Cone Press) and "New Discoveries with Denise".  Stop in and see samples of upcoming classes and be sure to reserve your spot.

We are still working out a few glitches for our email newsletter but hope to have everything up and running very soon.  Please continue to check the blog or our facebook page for updates until then.  As always, we appreciate your support and patience as our store continues to grow and improve.  Thanks for stopping by Precious Scraps.

Edited to addThank you for all of your concerns and prayers following my previous post.  I had a health scare (a mini stroke) but I am fine now. I debated on keeping this private but begin to think that there may be other people out there with some of my same issues.  I am overweight, have high cholesterol, not exercise, don't eat healthy (fast food a lot) and a stressful lifestyle.  Since my scare, I have begun to change my life.  I eat healthier, no more 8-10 soda's a day. I don't "diet", I am changing the way I choose what I eat and how much of it I eat.  This is for the rest of my life so "quick" diet fixes are not going to work.  I exercise now, 30 minutes in the morning and evening.  I feel so much better.  I am taking medication to lower my cholesterol until I can get it down and then will control it with diet.  I am on an aspirin regimen and most importantly, I try not to get stressed. As of today, I have lost 10 pounds over a month.  I know that may not seem like a lot to some but to me it is a lot to be excited about.  This will be a slow process, I have a long way to go and I may share more about my changing lifestyle along the way.   My final thought to you is to enjoy your life, love those that are in it and appreciate each day and most importantly take time to take care of yourself.
