just a little tease.......

I am still waiting on the professional photos from the grand opening of the store on this past Saturday but I thought I would go ahead and share some shots I took myself. Hope you enjoy......more to come soon.

* edited to add: We still have a lot of space to fill. I am still getting orders in for some of my basic supplies. I also have to get the classroom in order. I intend to have my tools, accessories, and such available to all store customers to use while they are in the store. This includes, my Quickutz, Cuttlebug, Nesties, etc.

Precious Scraps Design Team

Finally - I am ready to announce the first design team for Precious Scraps. But first, I would like to say a resounding thank you to everyone who applied. There was some amazingly talented submissions, making my job very difficult. I tried to select those that showed knowledge and experience in a range of activities, scrapbooking, cards, altered arts, etc. I hope that you will support the team and check out their blogs as well as that of Precious Scraps. I will be sending out assignments to these gals on Wednesday so be sure to check back in a couple of weeks to see their first submissions for the store. Be sure to pop over to their blogs and check out their work and tell them congratulations.

Design Team....

WOW - what an awesome weekend. The store's GRAND OPENING was a huge success. I have so many details and photos to share but you will have to wait until later this week, hopefully Thursday. I just wanted to pop in and tell everyone that I am truly sorry I haven't announced the design team yet but intend to do so tomorrow. I will be contacting people today. I got sick last week, even missed two days of work, which in 15 years I have never done. I finally had to go to the doctor on Thursday and had a BAD sinus infection and bronchitis. I was one sick lady. Anyway, this slowed me down quite a bit and with the store opening I just simply ran out of time. I, again, apologize and will get this info out as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

You asked for it........New Photos

Okay, here goes. Everyone is asking to see updated photos of the store so here you are. These were taken about 1:00 this morning. We finally got all the floor fixtures cleaned and in place. I still have to clean the wall shelves and slat board. I still have to put the red shelves on those 3 big red units but we finally have the checkout counter in place and a few other projects completed. There are things sitting around everywhere so please excuse the mess. Again, we will be opening on Saturday the 21st. Every night this week my friends and I will be putting up stock and such. It is getting so close I can't believe it. As I have said many times before, I could not have done this without all of you supporting and encouraging me. Thank you. I hope to be back on Friday with more photos and maybe even some special announcements !

Online Design Team Call

The online Design Team call will close on Friday, February 13 to allow me time to contact those chosen before making an official announcement on the 20th. Thank you to everyone who submitted work, my choice will not be an easy one as so many talented crafters applied. The local design team call will stay open until March 10th with an announcement being made on the 13th. This date was changed due to a later opening date at the store. My new "set-in-stone" open date is February 21st at 9:00 am. I have been working very hard these past few weeks moving fixtures and hanging shelves so I am behind on my blog. I promise you that once this move is over that I will do better. Again, thank you to everyone who has supported this venture and cheered me on, I could not have done it without you.
